Love the water and always imagined getting married with a view? If yes, then one of Sydney’s waterfront venues could be the wedding venue for you. If you’re wanting to go all out for your wedding day, then you’re in luck. Sydney is home to some of the most elaborate and truly spectacular venues, where no expense has been spared in ensuring your wedding day is everything you dreamt it would be. Whether it’s a wedding venue high above the city streets overlooking Circular Quay, alongside the rolling waves of Bondi or Manly, or in beautiful Darling Harbour, Sydney’s wedding venues will ensure your day is unforgettable.

For a wedding ceremony or reception that really takes the cake, check out Sydney’s stunning garden venues. Whether it’s nestled within the botanical gardens in the city, or an outdoor venue in the suburbs, there’s nothing more beautiful than being surrounded by flowers and lush gardens as you say your ‘I dos’.

Your wedding should be special and everything you want to be, but it also shouldn’t cost you your life savings. Weddings in Sydney

Certainly, beautiful Sydney, New South Wales, is known for its iconic Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and gorgeous beaches, but there are also many more stunning wedding ceremony and reception venues to choose from, plus a plethora of great wedding photography locations! Sydney’s waterfront location means there’s plenty of marina, harbour, and beach venues, but there are also stunning and historic hotels, golf and country clubs, and beautiful function centres. Popular Sydney Wedding Venues & Prices

You might think that a large city such as Sydney won’t have affordable wedding venues, but you can easily find wedding packages as low as $50 per person in the city! More luxurious wedding venues may charge up to $160 per head, and the most luxurious venues can charge well over this amount. Of course, you can expect the venue hire fee and additional venue costs to be much higher for larger wedding parties. Make sure to read the fine print, so you know exactly what is included in an “all-inclusive” package! Some of the most popular Sydney wedding venues include Le Montage, the Park Hyatt Sydney, Pier One Sydney Harbour, and Curzon Hall.

Travel & Hotel Accommodations

The Sydney Airport is located about 20 minutes away from the city centre, and most Sydney wedding venues are located within a half hour’s drive. Your guests may also opt to take the train, which runs every 10 minutes and conveniently runs to the city from Terminal 1. The airport is a major international hub and services local, continental, and international flights, so your guests should have no difficulty flying into Sydney. Wedding guests who live along the east coast may also choose to drive to Sydney (for example, a drive down from Newcastle takes less than two and a half hours).

There are plenty of great hotels to choose from in Sydney, and there’s a hotel for every budget, as they range from $50 to $250 per night. Your guests can also stay in Airbnb homes, apartments, lofts, and more. The most popular Airbnb’s in the area range from$35 – $160 per night.

Weather and Climate Considerations

The weather in Sydney, New South Wales is quite nice throughout the year and seasons, with the warmest summer months reaching a high of 26oC (January and February) and the coldest recorded temperatures in the winter only reaching about 8oC (July). However, there can be a fair bit of precipitation in the area, with as many as 9 days of the month experiencing rainfall. Typically, the summer to fall months experience the most precipitation and some severe storms. As always, we suggest ensuring that your outdoor reception and ceremony venues have adequate covering or backup spaces in case of rain or other inclement weather. The summer months, December to February, are ideal for weddings.
