The new year party in Melbourne is usually centred around the Dockland area where they put on an incredible fireworks display at 9.30pm and midnight. This year it’s once again spread out with fireworks due to be set off from 30CBD rooftops!

The main celebration areas are Docklands, Kings Domain, Flagstaff Gardens and Treasury Garden. There will be live music, DJs, light installations and food trucks.

Edinburgh Gardens is recommended as a a viewing location, while if you don’t mind being a little further away there are excellent skyline views to be had from St Kilda or Albert Park.
